People don’t understand the difference between socialistic forms of government and capitalistic forms of government. They tend to choose the one that sounds better. Most individuals are not willing to do their own research and truly break down what both a socialistic and a capitalistic form of government truly looks like. No need to worry or do research now, the United States is currently getting a taste of what a socialistic society would be like. It is a free trial. It’s incredible. Those who would vote for a very controlling and over-arching government are the same ones that are now complaining. They can’t go to the stores they want; they can’t go to the restaurants they want or even go to places for entertainment. Yet these are the same people who want the government to have more and more control. Young adults seem and tend to go with whatever seems best. Although younger generations are more innovative and creative, sometimes losing sight of reality. Venezuela is a perfect example of a country that once was prospering and working well under a capitalistic society, a couple wrong turns and today it is in the dumps. Venezuela used to be a tourist attraction, one of the best and wealthiest countries until they fell into the trap. Today it is struggling, they are trying to get back in their feet and regain democracy. With a trial of this type of life right directly in front of us, people should begin to understand that it isn’t all that it’s supposed to be. Capitalism is the only system that works based on the ideology of economic, religious, and political freedom, whereas socialistic societies take away from each of these important freedoms.

They should start to ask themselves if they really would want this lifestyle.

Shortly after he was elected as president, he turned Venezuela into a socialistic society. Since then, millions have tried to flee the country and find their way of life back again. “Socialism not only takes away from people the access to basic food and medicines but also creates an environment in which life is not worth nothing.” (Giannina Raffo) Giannina Raffo was an individual who fled from Venezuela and was under the control of the socialistic form of government.   The reality is that the young adults who so desperately want a socialistic form of government genuinely do not understand the detrimental consequences that flow from it.
